Service - Administration.

 

Administration is intended to deal with program user related activities and permissions.

 

Usable fields:

  • Table - Users list.
  • Permission tree - From users list selected user permission list.
  • New button - To add new user. Opens user parameter window.
  • Edit button - To change from users list selected user parameters. Opens user parameter window.
  • Delete button - To delete from users list selected user.

 

Fields in table:

  • User name - User name.
  • Login name - User login name.
  • Description - User description.

 

Usable fields on user parameter window:

  • User name - User name.
  • Description - User description.
  • E-mail - User e-mail address.
  • Login name - User login name, which is asked, when program starts.
  • Password - User password, which is asked, when program starts.
  • Confirm password - To confirm user password, rewrite user password again.
  • User must change password at next logon - If checkbox is checked, then user must change password at next logon.
  • User disabled - If checkbox is checked, then user is disabled (for example when you do not want to delete user, but only disallow it temporary).
  • Password expires - User password expiration time in days. When time is expired, then user must change password. If time is 0, then password never expires.
  • Default language - Default language on program windows.
  • Save button - To save data.
  • Cancel button - Not to save data.

 

 

Usage

 

To add new user:

  • Click 'New' button, which opens user parameter window.
  • Fill necessary fields and to save data, click button 'Save'.
  • After adding parameters for new user, also fill user permission list.
  • To check user data correctness, select another user from user list (click on another user, for example Administrator) and then select recently added user.

 

To change user parameters:

  • Select user from user list.
  • Click 'Edit' button, which opens user parameter window.
  • Fill necessary fields and to save data, click button 'Save'.

 

To delete user:

  • Select user from user list.
  • Click 'Delete' button.
  • To confirm user deletion, click button 'Yes'.

 

Define user permissions:

  • Select user from user list. Right from user list is active user permission list, where are user permissions according to menu item.
  • Click on checkbox, which lies in front of menu item you want to allow/unallow. If checkbox is checked, then this menu item is allowed. If checkbox is not checked, then this menu item is unallowed.
  • To check user data correctness, select another user from user list (click on another user, for example Administrator) and then select recently added user.
